The Idli Box
The Idli Box is a restaurant located in Fremont, California that specializes in the preparation of various types of idlis and other south Indian Specialities.
What is it about ?
The client's request was to create all aspects of branding for the startup which included collaterals for digital and print purposes as well. The brand was of south Indian origin and the client wanted it to have a more traditional and conservative temperament.
Logo
Multiple iterations of the logo were rendered. The main aspect of the brand was taken into consideration whilst ideation.
Symbol
The primary inspiration of the symbol was to be the idli. A south Indian delicacy, usually prepared for breakfast, dinner, or just had as a snack. The Idli generally has an irregular, circular appearance. Traditionally the idli is served with various chutneys on a banana leaf.
Typography
The typeface chosen to be paired with the logo was Bellefair, Which exudes properties that were appropriate for the brand.

Sticker Design
Stickers were created for each dish. The stickers were intended to be stuck on the packaging box of each dish and hence a small illustration of each dish's core ingredient was used.
